Day 27 - Pets
We currently have one pet, a three year old miniature dachshund, Jake. He is a mix between a long haired and short haired, which turned out to be perfect for us. He has such a quirky personality. He is VERY submissive and all you have to do it point at him sternly and he goes belly up. That doesn't keep him from getting in to trouble though! He likes to tear up dirty diapers and steal my underwear. He also will chew things up if we leave him more than once in the day. Jake's newest thing is chasing the neighborhood kids off our sidewalk. He weighs 12 pounds so he isn't exactly menacing, but he nudges their ankles with his nose which sends them running. What a little stinker.

OH MY GOOOOSH! squeee! He is so cute-- but i do have a soft spot for doxies. My in-laws have one that looks JUST like him!!
Oh my gosh!!! He looks like our Casie! Casie is almost a year old, and is a long hair. I had my 3rd heart attack in February, and went into a deep depression. A dear friend called to say she had 3 puppies and at least one needed to go as she has 4 kids eight and under and three puppies was too many. Well, long story short, she gave us Casie as a gift. Casie thinks I'm his people, and I know he's my doggie!! Love at first sight. I have fallen love with dachshunds!!!!!
