Sears

A week ago today we ordered our brand new washer and dryer from Sears. Well, I was excited to receive them on Tuesday and give them a test run... only to find out that the washer is broken. BROKEN! They sent us a lemon, which makes me angry considering the amount of laundry we have compiled since we have moved. Anyway, they came today to fix and it had to order parts, which will be another week. We decided to head back to Sears tonight to "return" the ones we bought and buy different ones. Hopefully they are cooperative and we have brand new WORKING ones next week!

Another Week

Things around here just keep getting busier and busier! As I said before, we moved this weekend and I am amazed at the amount of stuff we have accumulated over our 1.5 years of marriage. We still have a bunch of small things lying around our old home so thankfully we do not need to be out of there until June 8th. We have decided to get the stuff we have over here put away before we got back and get the rest, so we will probably not be settled until NEXT week.

This weekend we had BEAUTIFUL weather. Friday we had a bunch of friends come over and help us move, which was a real blessing! The rest of the weekend was basically full of unpacking except for a few field trips. Sunday we went furniture shopping but are still unable to agree on something we BOTH like. Monday we spent the morning at the Shipshewana flea market, which is ridiculously huge. Of course, the main point seems to be going in there and coming out with things you don't need. We bought a Notre Dame rock for our garden, a Corn Hole set, potpourri, and other miscellaneous things. We then got to eat lunch in town, which was amazing, at a place with homemade Amish bread.

Today our new washer and dryer come and I am very excited to try them out, especially since Brooke has a very large pile of clothes that need washing. But before that we need to go grocery shopping and get some food in this place!

New Stuff

We are moving this weekend so I will be really busy, but next week I will be back on my game... as long as we have internet. Until then, I started a new blog. It feels really weird to put myself out there but I am hoping it really motivates me.

7 Months Old!

Brooke is 7 months old today! WOW! I have not updated much about her development or milestones so here are some things Brooke is doing...

  • She sits up like a pro, has been for over a month now
  • She can go from sitting to crawling position
  • She can get up on all fours and rock back and forth a bunch
  • She stands up at her Fisherprice table and plays
  • She is working on pulling herself up
  • She can hold her own bottle

My oh my, Brooke is such a fun little girl. Now that we have the weight issue under control and she is taking formula, she is so much happier. She loves to smile at her daddy, giggle at the dog, and pull on my hair (lucky me!). She love to sits in the shopping cart when we go out and flirt with everyone in sight. She has very ticklish legs. She is so close to crawling any day now so I will be updating on that, but I am SO in for it. Her trying to pull up on things is going to be the end of me because she is always falling over and bumping her head on things!

We're Moving!

I cannot believe it has been a week since my last post! I don't know if I mentioned this on here before but we are MOVING! We had our offer accepted April 8th and closed on the house May 8th. Since then we have been painting maniacs and just loving our new home. We officially move in with our furniture Memorial Day weekend but until then, we will be doing touch up things and move smaller boxes of our stuff over. SO if my updates come few and far between, you know where I will be!

Another Update

It feels so unusual to not have pictures to post! I usually take a bunch of pictures each day but we have been so busy lately that the camera has been stuck in the case. Brooke took a bottle on Friday, which was such a blessing! Now that she understand how to do it and knows what is in there, she gets excited every time she sees it. It is going to be sad to end our nursing relationship, but I know that this is what is best for her and she should be gaining in no time!

On another note, the Pediatrician's office called today and set up an appointment for Wednesday. They want to do blood work to see if there is something serious going on with her. I am hoping that when she gets in there she has gained a bunch of weight and they call it all off. So please continue to keep her in your prayers!

Oh, and it is beautiful outside so I promise to take her out and get some pictures!
