Golf and Softball

If it's not baseball, it's something else...

Tonight Dustin and I will be attending a church softball game and then heading out to dinner with friends afterwards. Tomorrow Dustin is playing in a company golf outing and then heading down to Warsaw for an all-night softball tournament. Talk about sports crazy! I have a feeling he is going to be a bit tired by the time Saturday rolls around but that's life sometimes. As for me and athletics, I will continue to enjoy walking around the mall. I did start a pregnancy aerobics video but I can only do it every couple of days because it makes me so sore! It is a 40 minute mix of stretching, taebo, and pilates.

I will update a belly picture sometime after the weekend.

26 WEEKS tomorrow.

25 Weeks!

As you can see, I gave my blog a make over. Dustin is watching the Cubs (not a fan) so I decided to distract myself with this. After about 10 tries, I think I am going to keep this one for now.

Friday marked 25 weeks of growth for Baby Miller. I am finally at the point where people can look at me and go, "When are you due?" rather than think "Man, she's gained weight this summer"... which has been nice. Dustin is becoming enthralled with my belly and can't seem to stop touching it, especially when she starts her daily gymnastics routine! Even though I have progressed a lot since I first took the pregnancy test in February, November feels so far away! I am really enjoying the pregnancy but I am also starting to get very anxious to meet our little girl. I was talking to my friend Aimee, who is due with a little boy the same weekend as me, and we think these next 3 months are going to go by very quickly. Or at least we hope!

Things that have gotten harder with pregnancy:

  1. Sleeping. Besides going to the bathroom every three hours, I usually end up rolling onto my back and then I cannot breath.
  2. Walking. I exercise every day but long distance walking, forget it. I spent a couple hours at the mall with Dustin's 90 year old grand mom and I needed a break before her.
  3. Painting my toe nails/shaving: Bending over is much harder with a baby bump in the way!
  4. Eating. Wait... who am I kidding. Eating is definitely enjoyable at this stage in pregnancy.
About 2 more weeks until my THIRD TRIMESTER!

6 months and counting...

If you can picture this (which most of you probably DO NOT) I am sitting here, computer in lap and tee-shirt pull up over my belly. My baby was screaming for fresh air as I am convinced I can still fit into my old clothes. Sadly, not only is my uterus the size of a soccer ball... but my face, arms, and especially thighs have decided to expand along with the rest of my body. At least it is all for a good cause; a beautiful baby girl that is growing inside!

Current goals:

1. Cut out the junk so that I am gaining necessary weight, not all this unnecessary!
2. Walk more than 3 times a week
3. Eat more veggies

This Fall I will be a substitute teacher in the local school district, so I am excited for school to start up again! Come mid-October I will have to stop but atleast I can do something until then. Let's hope my new maternity pants still fit then!

One last thing. This is the week for the Elkhart County 4-H Fair, and we were able to attend twice. Saturday was for Dustin's company picnic and last night we joined his sister and brother-in-law for the Hootie and the Blowfish concert.

Rockband. Always entertaining...

A mix between a draft horse and mule. I had Dustin stand there to give an idea of how big it is!

Pregnancy Update

It is yet again time to update with a baby bump picture! I feel as though I have a new picture every week but that is how fast I am growing!

24 weeks...

This past weekend in Ohio proved to be too much for "the babe" and I ended up feeling pretty awful Monday and Tuesday. I had some minor complications and the doctor asked me to stay off my feet for a couple days. Thankfully, I am doing much better now and loading up on that water to stay hydrated! This weekend some family is visiting from Chicago and we will be headed to the Elkhart County Fair. I have always been a fan of 4-H fairs so I am excited to hit up the 2nd largest in the country (according to the Millers).

Mr. and Mrs. Porter

This past weekend I headed to Youngstown, OH for Amy and Josh's wedding! I arrived Thursday afternoon just in time to head to a Cleveland Indians game for the night. Friday morning we had a Bridal Picnic for Amy and then spent some time running last minute errands. The rehearsal went very smooth and the rehearsal dinner was at an amazing Italian restaurant. Saturday came fast and we started the morning early with hair appointments at 8:00AM. From there is was off to the church to apply make-up, get dressed, and get down that aisle! I was very happy to fit into my dress after some major alteration but I did have my zipper pop open right before the wedding! Thankfully Amy's aunt was able to safety pin me in so there were no more mishaps! After the wedding we spent a couple hours taking picture and then made our way to the reception for dinner and dancing! I truly had a blast and am really going to miss Amy now that she will be living in Myrtle Beach. But hey, it's a great place to visit and vacation!

Fourth of July

July is going to be such a busy month around the Miller household!

Friday morning Dustin and I got up bright and early to join his mom at the Shipshewana flea market. We spent 5 hours in the morning sun browsing for items we could not live with out! Unfortunately, the only thing I came home with was a nice shoulder tan, but it was still a fun day. That evening my parents came in from Philadelphia. We spent most of the weekend relaxing, only heading out to shop in Shipshewana, attend church, and have a BBQ at Dusty's parents house. They left bright and early this morning for a trip to North Carolina.

As far as the pregnancy goes, I am becoming a bit scatter brained. Last night I was lying in bed trying to recall her movements for the day (I try to find regularities) and started thinking about going to the doctors. I knew the next time I went I would finally be able to say I had felt her move... and then it hit me. I had a doctor's appointment this morning!! I would have slept right through it had I not realized it sooner. Good thing I remembered!

No new pictures to update with but this weekend I will be in Ohio for a wedding I am in, so hopefully I will make good use of my camera!

It's July?!

I cannot believe that July is already here! I do not remember my other summers going this fast but maybe it is all a part of growing older. Considering I have something very great and exciting to look forward to this Fall, I am not really complaining.

Last night Dustin and I went to his parents house along with our landlords and our "neighbors". Our house is hard to explain, but basically there are three different tenants living here! We live in the main house part (which is rather large), their daughter and boyfriend live in the apartment attached through the laundry room, and another friend of theirs lives in the basement. It has been a great experience thus far and it has been great to have other people around! Anyway... Aimee, their daughter, is pregnant as well and expecting the same weekend as me! We have enjoyed getting to know each other and sharing pregnancy stories together. And since I am having a girl and she is having a boy, we have had fun showing each other clothes we have gotten.

Here is a picture of us in all our water retention glory.

My shirts somewhat hides the true bump but our bumps are a bit different. She is carrying higher than I am (at this point) but other than that, we are on track! We are not happy with the water retention, but what can we do other than live off watermelon? This picture also reminds me that I need to spend some more time in the sun! I need to pick up some sort of cheap lounge chair at Walmart and spend some time outside this week, I am looking a bit pathetic.
