Tricks
Ignore my baby voice, please!!! She is much better at playing "So Big!" now but when I was taping it took a lot of coaxing! Sometimes she will throw her arms up just to hear you say "So big!".
Chicago Wedding
As promised, pictures from last weekend... but not before a recap! Saturday morning we piled into a mini van with Dustin's parents, his sister, and her husband. After 3 hours on the toll road and a crossing over the invisible time zone line, we arrived at our hotel. 1 hour short of the start of the ceremony in fact. We rushed to get ready, piled back in the van, and sped over to the church. Thankfully we got there in time but as Dustin and I sat down in the back pew Brooke started to show signs that she was in need of a bottle. After a quick search of the van we discovered that we left the can of formula back in Indiana. SO, back in the van we piled (just Dustin, Brooke, and I this time) and we spent 30 minutes driving around in search of some grocery store where I could pick up some sort of formula) Thankfully it all worked out and we made it back in time to get his family. At the reception Brooke had her own little high chair at our table and she quietly fell asleep in her car seat sometime after dinner ended. We stuck her partially under the table and dance the night away!

Wish List Wednesday
It's that time again!
An elliptical machine to use for exercise! I loved using these in college and took for granted the free access I had to them. I would love to plant one in our basement with a TV in front of it. I would be thin in no time! And, the creepy guy riding it is not necessary.
A new puppy. Those that know me well know that I am obsessed with animals, mainly dogs. I have worked on getting a kitten out of Dustin but he seems to have put his foot down hard on that one. SO, now I am working on getting a playmate for Jake.

Semi-walking!
Brooke has been pulling up and cruising since before she could crawl, so I knew it would not be long before she ventured further. She can now stand on her own and even push her toy walker around the room. Today I kept having to reposition her around the house because she would cry when it got stuck or when she finished walking across a room. Here are some videos... if they will load!
This one she had trouble staying straight, mostly because I distracted her with the camera. I just love how happy and giggly she is when she is pushing her walker!

9 Months
- She is crawling all over the place
- She pulls up on anything her level and cruises
- She can stand with out holding on to anything for long periods of time, no steps yet
- She waves at certain times, it is hard to get her to do it on demand
- She can play "How big is Brooke? SO BIG!" by throwing her hands up in the air. So cute!
- She says Mama but still can't associate her sounds with anyone or anything
- She opens and closes doors and drawers
- She has 8 teeth and is working on a couple more
- She knows to pose for the camera when the flash light comes on, it is hilarious
We have her 9 month appointment on Wednesday so I will have to update with her height and weight. Also, we just got back from a wedding in Chicago so I need to make a post with some pictures from our fun night!

Wish List Wednesday
An internet friend of mine does a Wish List Wednesday and I have been itching to participate, so here I am! You can view her blog HERE.
A new car. Dustin and I both drive old cars with no air conditioning, not to mention the parts they seem to be scattering all over the road as we drive.
A maid. Between chasing after Brooke and caring for a 3 month old baby in our home, I barely have time to get the daily chores done. It seems as though by the time I am done cooking, dishes, and feeding Brooke.... it starts all over again. My wood is dying to be dusted and polished.
This new stroller for Brooke. We picked out a travel system while I was pregnant and I really wish I had done a little more research. Her stroller is so bulky and heavy.
A new camera. I have been lusting after this camera for awhile now and hopefully will get to own one this Winter. I am obsessed with taking pictures, as you may know, and would love to learn more about photography.
And finally, tickets to see Wicked on Broadway. I have wanted to see this ever since I heard of the phenomenon in college but have yet to have the chance. Maybe one day.

Vacation!
OK, so we are back! Last Saturday morning we packed up the car and drove 12 hours down to North Carolina. We spent the night with my grandparents before heading to the beach house on Sunday afternoon. My mom's whole side of the family was there (I think there were 23 of us, kids included) and it was a blast! Our house was three stories with an elevator, pool table, pin ball machine, movie theater room, pool, and even a hot tub! Monday it poured but we had great beach days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Friday we headed down south and met Amy and Josh in Wilmington, NC to see where One Tree Hill is filmed. Then we spent Saturday in their home town of Myrtle Beach, and Sunday we made a 15 hour drive back home! SO it was a crazy, but fun, vacation. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.
First time on the beach!
Happy girl

We are still here!
No, we did not fall off the face of the Earth. (I don't even know if anyone reads this thing!) We have been on vacation and you can expect a post about it when we get back next week!
